RectorSeal Upgrades Paircoil Lineset Offering with a 50-Foot-Length and 1/2-inch Insulation.

Paircoil, the pioneer of pre-insulated, paired-together mini-split linesets, now meets IMC, IRC and IECC codes for insulation durability, thickness and UV resistance.

RectorSeal LLC, Houston,  a leading manufacturer of quality HVAC/R products, has upgraded its Paircoil product offering, the pioneer of pre-insulated, paired-together linesets designed especially for the North American ductless mini-split air-conditioning system market.

Paircoil is now available in a 50-foot-long (15-meter) roll with 1/2-inch-thick (12.7-mm) polyethylene insulation and supplants the previous 65-foot (20-meter) length with 3/8-inch-thick (9.5-mm) offering. Paircoil expedites lineset installation with the following features:

  • Anti-friction polyethylene insulation is ductile, but hardened enough for easy pulling through jagged openings without tearing;
  • Inscribed measurements for fast, accurate measuring and cutting;
  • Malleable copper is easy to flare, swage and bend, the latter which minimizes kinking risks;
  • The pairing together of the liquid and suction lines is easily separated by hand, which reduces install time by half.

Paircoil is available through all major HVAC distributors in two copper liquid/suction lineset sizes of either 1/4 (6.3-mm) and 3/8-inch-diameter (9.5-mm); or 1/4 and 1/2-inch-diameter (12.7-mm). The durable, ultraviolet (UV) light and moisture resistant insulation also helps meet the International Mechanical Code (IMC), International Residential Code (IRC) and the International Energy Conservation Code, IECC R403.4.1– “Protection of Piping Insulation.” It’s also rated as fire-retardant, because it has proven self-extinguishing characteristics in fire tests. It also meets ASTM-International specification standards B280 seamless copper tube for air-conditioning and refrigeration field service; and C534 for preformed flexible, elastomeric cellular thermal insulation. ArmorPad™, High-Strength & Light-Weight

ArmorPad’s light weight requires only one installer to transport; durable polymer shell resists UV, cracking, crumbling and spalling of its cementitious competition.

The ArmorPad is constructed of a dense foam core base enveloped in a shell of durable polymer on five sides that aesthetically simulates the texture and color of gray concrete. The entire product line of 24, 30, 32, 36, and 40-inch-square (61, 76, 81, 91, 101-cm2) x 3-inch-high (7.6-cm) models saves jobsite costs, because only one person is needed to transport and install it. For example, a 36-inch-square x 3-inch-high ArmorPad weighs only 8-pounds (3.6-kg) versus competing foam core pads with cementitious shells weighing 35-pounds (15.8-kg), or solid concrete pads weighing more than 300-pounds (136-kg).

ArmorPads also surpass the competition in durability tests, which prove the weight of a truck driving over it can’t crush it, drilling into it can’t crumble or crack the polymer shell, landscaping implements can’t spall the surface, and equipment weight of even the largest of residential condensers can’t indent or depress it.

The ArmorPad polymer shell is not sprayed on, but rather molded into a one-piece, strong and durable extrusion that’s compliant with ASTM D-2299 standard “Recommended Practice for Determining Relative Stain Resistance of Plastics.” The polymer surface perpetuates a brand new appearance, because of its built-in resistance to UV degradation, coil cleaning chemicals, landscaping chemicals, weather and canine urine.

The ArmorPads also boast the industry’s most dense foam core, which minimizes permanent compression damage and holds anchors securely. The foam core bottom also features a unique foil-backing that resists moisture and an embedded chemical repellent that deters burrowing animals and insects.

Other ArmorPad features include:

  • Design and performance-tested in the field with contractor focus groups;
  • Designed for 90-percent of the industry’s condenser sizes of up to five-ton systems. Additional size introductions are planned in the future;
  • Ideal for retrofits where larger, more efficient condenser replacements require a larger or new equipment mounting pad;
  • Can be secured onto and cantilevered out over smaller unsightly, but structurally-sound existing pads during retrofits;
  • Easily accepts and securely holds drilled-in hurricane clip anchors in high wind zones;
  • Available through most traditional wholesale HVAC/R distributors.

RectorSeal® Introduces AC Leak Freeze® Nano PRO, the HVAC Industry’s Only Nano Leak Refrigeration Sealant

AC leak Freeze Nano PROAC Leak Freeze® nano PRO uses revolutionary nano particles that permanently seal nano holes that conventional sealants miss.

Houston–RectorSeal® LLC, a manufacturer of quality HVAC/R products, has introduced AC Leak Freeze® nano PRO, the HVAC industry’s first refrigerant leak sealant designed to permanently repair nano as well as micro-sized leaks in residential and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems

It uses the same trusted, OEM-approved formula and quick-installing safe applicator as the original industry-leading AC Leak Freeze PRO, but now includes nano particles. These randomly-shaped particles are designed to stop refrigerant leaks from jagged, irregularly-shaped nano-sized holes that are up to 1,000-times smaller than micro holes, therefore difficult to seal with conventional sealants.

AC Leak Freeze nano Pro is the industry’s only double action sealant: 1) seals leaks in one to six-ton units with an oil-based, polymer-free, 1.5-ounce (44-ml) formula that doesn’t clog system components or refrigeration tools; and 2) uses nano particles to repair holes too small for conventional sealants. Service technicians can add a third action by applying AC Leak Freeze nano PRO with Magic Frost, which includes an anti-friction lubricant additive that reduces noise and vibration, while enhancing system efficiency.

Besides effectiveness, AC Leak Freeze nano PRO is also the HVAC industry’s safest sealant for technicians, refrigeration systems and the environment. The non-toxic formula is non-flammable and has a safer flashpoint rating than competitive sealants and its innovative applicator’s new low loss connection fitting protects technicians’ hands from frost bite and the environment from refrigerant loss. The patent-pending formula doesn’t have moisture-activated polymers that can potentially clog compressors, recovery/evacuation units, Schrader valves, capillary tubes, TXV valves, micro channels or manifold gauges.

Like its predecessor, AC Leak Freeze nano Pro also uses an 8.5-inch-long (203-mm) applicator consisting of a flexible, easy-to-handle, transparent nylon refrigeration hose and an attached copper reservoir of sealant. Unlike some other disposable leak sealant applicators, AC Leak Freeze nano Pro doesn’t require a system pump down with R-410A systems and safely withstands all typical refrigerant pressures.

One side of the hose connects to the refrigeration system’s low side. The AC Leak Freeze nano PRO formula is propelled into the system within seconds once the hose’s reservoir is connected to either the high side or a refrigerant cylinder via a charging manifold. The disposable, one-time-use applicator’s nylon hose, brass fittings and copper reservoir are all 100-percent recyclable.
Other AC Leak Freeze Pro features are:

  • hose and reservoir are factory-sealed to prevent injecting air or atmospheric moisture into the system;
  • the flexible nylon hose’s 45-degree connection fitting allows easier hand access than straight fittings in cramped Schrader valve environments;
  • transparent hose eliminates guess work as to when application is completed;
  • comes in four-color boxed packaging designed for distributor J-hook merchandisers or in 12-unit compact POP counter display cases.
