-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
SUMMARY OF ACUTE HAZARDS
Corrosive to the eyes and mucous membranes. Moderately toxic dermally.
Irritating to the gastric mucosa. See below for route-specific details.
ROUTE OF EXPOSURE, SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS
INHALATION
May cause irritation to mucous membranes. Avoid inhaling dust or mist.
Strong irritant to the nose and throat.
EYE CONTACT
Corrosive to eyes. Exposure to the granules may cause severe eye damage.
May cause severe irritation with redness, pain, and blurred vision.
SKIN CONTACT
Slight skin irritant. Excessive exposure, especially if prolonged, may
cause allergic contact dermatitis. May cause irritation or burns on wet skin.
Moderately toxic through skin absorption.
INGESTION
Ingestion of copper may result in irritation of the gastrointestinal tract,
nausea, vomiting, salivation, gastric pain, hemorrhagic gastritis, diarrhea,
capillary damage, liver and kidney damage, and central nervous system
stimulation followed by depression. Jaundice, pain in the liver, and hemolytic
anemia have been reported following acute human poisonings.
SUMMARY OF CHRONIC HAZARDS
Exposure to human tissue will result in irritation and chemical burns.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE
Individuals with pre-existing or chronic diseases of the eyes, skin
or persons with chemical sensitivity may have increased susceptibility to
excessive exposures.

Section 4 -- FIRST AID MEASURES
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
If INHALED: If overcome by exposure, remove victim to fresh air
immediately. Give oxygen or artificial respiration as
needed. Obtain emergency medical attention. Prompt action
                   is essential.
If on SKIN: Flush with large amounts of water. If irritation or burns
                   occur, seek immediate medical attention.
If in EYES: Flush with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes.
Get medical attention if irritation persists.
If SWALLOWED: If swallowed, call a physician immediately. Only induce
vomiting at the instruction of a physician. Never give
anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Section 5 -- FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
EXTINGUSING MEDIA
Use agents suitable for surrounding fires.
SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: Wear self-contained breathing
apparatus (SCBA) and other protective clothing. Hazardous decomposition
products possible (see Section 10). Dike area as run-off may create additional
environmental contamination.
UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: Thermal decomposition may release toxic
fumes and/or hazardous gases. Sulfur trioxide above 1200F (650C).
=============================================================================
Section 6 -- ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE MATERIAL IS RELEASED OR SPILLED: Keep people away.
Wear chemical protective clothing. Sweep up and place in an appropriate
chemical waste container for disposal.
=============================================================================
Section 7 -- HANDLING AND STORAGE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN IN HANDLING AND STORING: Store in a clean, dry area.
Do not store near feed, food or within the reach of children.
OTHER PRECAUTIONS: Do not reuse empty containers. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF
CHILDREN.
