Acid-Detector™ is a test kit designed for use in the field to detect acid in air-conditioning and refrigeration oils. It quickly and accurately detects unacceptable amounts of acids which may be present in all mineral and alkylbenzene type refrigeration oils.

without having to wait days or weeks for a laboratory analysis.

Acid-Detector™ may be used with all mineral and alkylbenze type refrigerant oils. Designed to provide quick and accurate oil analysis while in the field. May be used on all systems both refrigeration and air conditioning.

1. Pour contents of smaller bottle into larger bottle. The bottom layer of new mixture will turn purple in color.
2. Completely fill small bottle with oil being tested.
3. Pour small bottle of oil into the larger bottle, cap and shake well.
4. Within a few minutes a two layer phase separation will develop. If the bottom layer loses its purple color, the sample oil has an acid number of 0.05 or higher.
5. Systems with acid levels higher than 0.05 should be cleaned and treated with
ACID-AWAY®.

CONTAINS: Methanol and Toluene. Cannot be made non-poisonous. PRECAUTIONS: Vapors
harmful. May be fatal or cause blindness if swallowed. May cause eye and skin irritation.
Keep away from heat, sparks, and flames. Use with adequate ventilation.Wash thoroughly
after use. FIRST AID: For any overexposure, get immediate medical attention after
first aid is given. Eyes and Skin - Flush with large amounts of clean water for at
least 15 minutes. Inhalation - Remove to fresh air. Ingestion - Only if
conscious, give large amounts of water. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. FIRE AND SPILLS:
For fire, use water fog, CO2, foam or dry chemicals to extinguish. For spills, shut off
ignition sources, ventilate confined areas and wipe up with absorbent materials to prevent
footing hazard. STORAGE AND HANDLING: Store in cool place away from all food. Keep
container upright and tightly closed when not in use. Do not reuse empty container. KEEP
OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
