ACID-AWAY® provides a unique approach to help prevent compressor burnouts by effectively removing the acid buildup that occurs in refrigeration oils used in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. It is a safe and easy to use treatment for both hermetic and semi-hermetic compressors of virtually any size that operate with mineral or alkylbenzene type refrigeration oils. For systems that operate on Polyol Ester lubricants, use ACID-AWAY® FOR POE.
ACID-AWAY® has been tested in accordance with
ANSI/ASHRAE Standards 86-1983 and 97-1989, various ASTM standards and has been proven to
be highly effective in extensive field testing evaluations in a wide variety of compressor
sizes, types, brands and severity of burnout conditions.

ACID-AWAY® may be used to neutralize the residual acid that remains in a refrigeration or air conditioning system after a compressor burnout has occurred and a new compressor has been installed.
ACID-AWAY® may be used for preventative maintenance in operating refrigeration and air conditioning systems where acid buildup is detected, but a compressor changeout is not yet needed.
ACID-AWAY® may be used in virtually any size hermetic or semi-hermetic compressor that utilizes mineral oil or alkylbenzene type of refrigeration oils.
ACID-AWAY® may be used in recovery, recycling and reclaiming equipment to neutralize the acid found in old recaptured refrigerants and refrigeration oils.

The 4 fluid ounce unit is a convenient size for use in dosage amounts suitable for treating a broad range of compressor sizes and acid concentrations. The 1 oz. size is for smaller compressors. Other sizes are available upon request.
1. Determine level of acid contamination in system.
2. Determine system oil capacity.
3. Determine amount of ACID-AWAY® treatment using Dosage Chart on box or instruction sheet.
4. Change burned out compressor.
5. Add ACID-AWAY® treatment.

Use with adequate ventilation. Wash after handling . FIRST AID: For any overexposure, get immediate medical attention after first aid is given. Eyes - Flush 15 minutes with clean water. Skin - Wash with soap and water. Inhalation - Remove to fresh air. Ingestion - Only if conscious, give large amounts of water. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. FIRE AND SPILLS: For fire, use water fog, CO2, foam or dry chemicals to extinguish . For spills, shut off ignition sources, ventilate confined areas and wipe up with absorbent materials to prevent footing hazard. STORAGE AND HANDLING: Store in a cool, well ventilated area. Keep container upright and tightly closed. Do not reuse empty container. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

THIS LIMITED EXPRESS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND OF ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF RECTORSEAL®. The sole remedy for breach of the Limited Express Warranty shall be the refund of the purchase price. All other liability is negated and disclaimed, and RectorSeal® shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages.
