Magic Trap
The main purpose of the venting system in a drain waste and vent line is to protect the trap seal from siphonage. Magic Vent? AAV's perform that function without the need for additional piping to the outdoors. Whenever the drainage system is subjected to a negative (reduced) pressure, the Magic Vent? AAV opens to admit air. The air balances the pressure in the drainage system, thus protecting the trap seal. Upon reaching a neutral pressure, the Magic Vent? AAV closes to form a tight seal thus preventing any transmission of sewer gas through the valve.
The use of the Magic Vent? AAV is certain to save both time and money on the installation when compared with open vent piping systems. This money saving installation eliminates costly extensive runs of vent piping, as well as numerous penetrations through the roof.
 
The Micro AAV conforms to ANSI/ASSE 1051-2002. This standard is the nationally recognized consensus standard regulating air admittance valves. Magic Vents also comply with NSF / ANSI Std. 14 - DWV ASSE 1051 and ICC-ES Report Number ESR-1779 approvals. US Patent No. D427286, additional patent pending.
